Dancer and actress from Málaga, La Chachi excels in the art of blending her two favorite disciplines: flamenco dance and motion theater. Here, in a duet with singer and actress Lola Dolores, she brings to life the taranto, a flamenco style originating from the mining region of Almería. The singing is primitive, simple, and dry, without guitar, born of the urgent need to make one’s soul vibrate. But in this particular taranto, the two artists deliver a performance infused with irreverence and humor. The zapateados echo in a loop, while the cante grows in power and grace. The stage then becomes the setting for a funny and feverish show.
