Socheata Aing
Born in 1993. Lives and works between Toulouse and Neuchâtel (Switzerland).
Socheata Aing is a graduate of the Toulouse Institute of Arts and Design. She develops a practice that blends performance, installation, film, and writing.
Her work explores the notions of memory, absence, and cultural transmission, weaving together personal and collective narratives. The body, the voice, and the image become narrative vehicles for examining experiences of migration, displacement, and diaspora.
Through understated and sensitive installations, her works create a tension between presence and erasure, visibility and invisibility, and are part of a research approach attentive to contemporary forms of transmission.
