Carte blanche à Rossy de Palma

Screening

La Cinémathèque de Toulouse invites Rossy de Palma to curate eight screenings.

An embodiment of the Movida movement, just as Nico and Edie Sedgwick became legends of the Factory, Rossy de Palma has set the music scene ablaze, continues to grace the catwalks, and “excenters” contemporary art galleries. A true pop icon whose radiant presence has brought out the finest hues of Iberian cinema. For while she is a living work of art, she is also an actress.

Taking advantage of Le Nouveau Printemps, and following the tribute the Cinespaña festival paid her during its last edition, La Cinémathèque de Toulouse opens its screens to Rossy de Palma for a carte blanche of eight films. Four films in which she starred—the most iconic and unexpected of her career—and four others in which she does not appear but which extend the trajectory of the exhibitions she has shaped. From the work of art to the artist and back again.
