Relive Pilar Albarracín’s En la Piel del Otro on video
Among the highlights of this year’s Nouveau Printemps, the performance En la Piel del Otro by Spanish artist Pilar Albarracín will undoubtedly remain a defining moment of the festival.
Revived in Toulouse on May 30, this collective procession through public spaces brought together over a hundred participants dressed in flamenco costumes, forming a colorful and festive parade that wound through the neighborhood to the beat of Hispanic music played from sound-equipped bicycles.
Conceived as a tribute to Guernica, the work invites everyone to freely claim the public space through walking, dancing, and individual expression.
Today, we are pleased to share the video produced by Toulouse Créative, in partnership with the City of Toulouse, which looks back on this exceptional collective experience.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who responded to our call for participation, whether during the photo shoot on May 26 or the procession on May 30. Your commitment, energy, and generosity gave this work its full power!
Our thanks also go to Pilar Albarracín, her team, and the festival teams who made this colorful event possible.
A moment that fully embodies what contemporary creation has to offer: a collective, vibrant, and deeply human experience.
