Lapili
Born in 1994. Lives and works in Madrid, Spain.
Lapili is a multidisciplinary artist known for her fusion of African, Caribbean, and urban rhythms. She stands out not only for her musical talent but also for her multifaceted career as a costume designer, dancer, creative project director, and visual artist specializing in textile art. Her career began in 2018 with “Muslona,” the viral reggaeton track whose signature rhythm was created by the rubbing of her own thighs, thus becoming an anthem for body acceptance and empowerment.
Her most recent project, "Fatty Fairy," encapsulates her entire career: "Fatty" represents the visceral energy of the body and dance as a tool for liberation and empowerment, while "Fairy" reflects her introspective and spiritual dimension, with lyrics born from a personal diary. Each performance becomes a complete spectacle where music, fashion, and performance intertwine, offering the audience an immersive and transformative experience.
